Inspector shares real-world experience

With more than 30 years’ experience in the Queensland Police Service, Inspector Christopher Emzin—a barrister with a QUT law degree—is undertaking a 12-month stint with the School of Justice as the university’s first visiting police associate.

His role includes guest lectures, mentoring students and assisting with research, and improving links between police, students and Crime and Justice Research Centre researchers.

Inspector Emzin has worked in prosecutions, the flood crisis review group and counter terrorism, and is a former Queensland State Water Police Coordinator.

“I can complement the world-leading learning and research environment of QUT with my contemporary, real-life experiences,” Inspector Emzin said.
